Fall 2026 Sesshin and Sangha Meeting

October 9 - October 14

East Rock Sangha will hold a three-day sesshin October 9-12, 2026, at Woolman Hill in Deerfield, Massachusetts, followed immediately by the annual meeting of the sangha from the afternoon of Oct 12 to noon Oct 14. We expect Nelson Foster to lead the sesshin and attend the meeting.

We welcome newcomers (either new to sesshin or new to sesshin with Nelson) and will guide you in the process of applying. Please reach out to the sesshin coordinator who will put you in touch with Nelson.

Sesshin expenses keep rising; however, we are trying to keep the fees as low as possible by subsidizing the cost through sangha donations. The fee for both the 3-day sesshin and the 2-day sangha meeting is $430. The sesshin alone is $330.

Registration: To register, please fill out this form promptly.

Payment: Payment is due by September 1.  After your payment is received, you will be sent an email confirming your place. ERS members receive priority if we are oversubscribed.

  • $330 for Sesshin only

If you have not paid East Rock Sangha dues for 2026, they may be added to your sesshin payment: $30 if paying by check, $31 if paying electronically.

Cancellation policy:  If you cancel on or before September 25, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel after that, refunds or any cancellation fees imposed are at the discretion of the ERS Board. 

Our health guidelines are:

  • Avoid crowded places the week before sesshin
  • Masks are optional
  • Do not come to sesshin if you are feeling unwell
  • If you get sick during sesshin you may be asked to leave.
